Shipwreck Shawl

Here are the first 24 rows of the Shipwreck Shawl by Knitting Harpy.

I am using KnitPicks Shadow in Hot Rod, and a variety of beads. I still need one darker and one clear packet of beads.

For reference, here is a 1/4" grid sheet of graph paper showing some size 6, 8 and 11 seed beads. This pattern calls for 8, which are not easy to find in box stores. :)

Morgana's gloves

I captured these online from the "To Kill the King" episode of Merlin (BBC).
They aren't too clear, but perhaps it will help someone figure out a pattern for them.

Really, I think I can find several fingerless mitts, I would just like to know how to finish the thumb hole like these.

(If you found this through a web search and have some images or suggested patterns, please add to the thread on Ravelry in the Merlin group. KAL starting on Sept. 16th. Thanks!)

ETA: Snan on Ravelry posted some more screen caps. I grabbed one of them, made some adjustments in Photoshop and came up with these 2:

Mmmm.....yarn cake!

Man may not be able to live on bread alone....but a Malabrigo yarn cake just might do the trick!

This is the beginning of my BSJ hat. Too fuzzy. :(

Mystic Star

This is the largest knitted piece that I have ever done....and blocked! It sort of makes everything else I have to work on seem manageable. While I was knitting this, I kept thinking "never again!".....but, I do like how it turned out and would like to take another stab at it with a laceweight yarn....maybe something by DREAM IN COLOR, one of their baby yarns or the smooshies!
The finished size will be about 49" in diameter.

Entrelac Cap is DONE!

It seems like this took forever, but really it was my "carry around" knit for the last few months and I only worked on it in short bursts. I decided to finish it up this weekend and today it's done!

More swatch madness!

Swatch much?

After 5 attempts at the MysticStar KAL Swatch, I have accepted the fact that I am not a Good Knitter and that the LOVELY 10/2 Tencel I bought from Yarntopia Treasures on Etsy is not my friend.
(For Sale: 1,050 yds (less 2 swatches worth..) of 10/2 Tencel Laceweight in the lovely blue color you see below.)

Have you ever tried knitting with thread? Yeah, I don't recommend it.

Once I gave up faced reality, I dragged out some yarn that I have been holding onto for a while and tried again. Success!

This is Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine in the Oceanic Mix colorway. But I seem to have stretched mine out too "tall" when blocking. LOL
